3M Aerosols Packaging Components 

Dear Valued 3M Adhesive Customer: 

Thank you for your continued support of the 3M aerosol product line. Due to the significant increase in demand for other aerosol products, like cleaners and disinfecting products related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been experiencing component shortages for our aerosol products. We have worked with our supply chain to identify options and today, we are announcing the following measures we will use throughout 2021 to help us minimize delivery impacts of our products to you.

3M Branded Aerosols – Additional Aerosol Can Cap Format: 

For the 3M Branded aerosols in our large and small cans, we will be adding a second cap format that we will use interchangeably to help reduce the bottle neck for this component. The types of caps that you may see are below. Note: There will be no change to the adhesive formulas, stock numbers, net weights or pricing for these items. 

Large Can (24 oz):                        Small Can (20 oz): 

3M Branded Aerosols – New Spray Actuator (20oz Cans): 

We will also be changing the spray actuator (button) for the below SKUs. This new spray actuator (button) may help to improve user comfort when dispensing adhesive from the can. The new actuator will phase in as inventory is depleted, however, you may receive either actuator within cases of product. Note: There will be no change to the adhesive formulas.

3M Branded Aerosols – 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Spray Adhesive – New Actuator: 

In addition, we will be changing the spray actuator (button) on our 24oz can of 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Spray Adhesive. The new button may help improve user comfort when dispensing adhesive from the can. The new actuator will phase in as inventory is depleted, however, you may receive either actuator within cases of product. Note: There will be no change to the adhesive formula.
